Location- Sidney street
Intension and meaning
The intention for this shoot is to show the trending urban fashion, and how this model has adapted to it with her personal style. The shoot will show be around the gritty, run down areas of Sheffield, as this is where I personally feel this fashion reflects itself. I will preferably be taking the images around a lot of graffiti, which shows off talent and art throughout Sheffield, as well as making my photos colourful and vibrant. The meaning behind this shoot is to signify has this fashion trend is hitting and becoming popular around the streets, and to show the audience how to style this new fashion.
Style of photography
The style of photography is street fashion photography.
Subject matter
The subject matter/focal point of my photos will be the model and her clothing/style. Although the background I will be using isn't plain and will dominate the photos, I can easily tone down the colours and blur the background to make her stand out even more.
Composition
I will compose my photos very differently, when I see the best result, I will compose my photos like that. As this shoot is for my front cover and my double page spread, I will be positioning my model in lots of different ways. An example would be for my double page spread, I would position my model to the far right and take the image landscape, so I can have her covering a whole side of a page.
Shot types
As this shoot will be for my front cover and double page spread I will be using a variety of different shot types. I will be using mainly medium close up when taking pictures for my front cover, as magazines I am paticshing use a medium close up. For my double page spread I will have close ups, wide shots, long shots and medium close ups, as my idea is to use a lot of photos on my double spread page. I will also be using low angles to connote dominance and confidence.
Mise en scene
The model will be wearing dominate make up, such as dark eye makeup and a dark shade of purple or red lipstick. Her hair will be wavy, so it is styled, the clothing is all urban styled. Ripped jeans, Checked coats, peppy skirts and casual tops, are all organised to be worn on set.
Equipment
I will be using a Canon Camera 650D EOS. I will not be using a tripod, all my photography will be handheld. I will be taking two camera batteries and a camera bag. A standard lens will be used when taking my photos.
Details of editing
My intention for editing is very subtle. I do not want to edit the image harshly as the attention is to be on the model and her clothing. I use the spot healing tool and clone tool if any spots appear on her face, to create the Ideal self/partner. I may blur the background out if it takes away the focal point.

Composition

Details of editing

I shall also maybe use the blur tool to create shallow depth of field, as the model is important. The only other editing I am considering is using the spot healing tool to get rid of any spots, to create an ideal self/partner.

Hannah Mansell Shoot
Location- Mosbourough
Intension and meaning
The intension for this shoot is to create a "modern Audrey Hepburn" recreation. I am wanting to explore the ways Audrey would be like in this era and what she would have brought to this era. The mise-en-scene was extremely important to this shoot, as I wanted to create the character "Holly" from the first scene of Breakfast at Tiffany's. The meaning of this is to reflect how fashion has changed over all these years, comparing how it changed and seeing how he fashion icons like Hepburn herself would adapt to the new fashion in my opinion.
Style of photography
The style of photography is street fashion.
Subject matter
The subject matter for this shoot will be the fashion/clothing the model wears, so not the model herself. Another important element to this shoot will be the location, as it can not be in a gritty area of Sheffield it must be a elegant background. The clothing she wear will be the most important as this is where I will reflect my intension and meaning for this shoot, as well as the theme of my magazine.
Composition
I shall be composing my images differently, as I will be in two locations, as well as seeing what effect is best. Ways in which I will compose my photos is directing my model to stand in different positions as well as holding props different ways, or even including the props. As well I will be directing my model to pose in different ways to get a variety of effects.
Shot types
I will be trying out a variety of different shot types to get different connotations. Low angles connote dominance and power and innocence and powerless is connoted in high angles. Audrey was very powerful when it comes to terms with fashion. So for me to recreate Audrey low angles would e set suited for me to use. Shot types such as wide shots, to involve the fashion and as much of the location as well as medium shots to really signify the fashion.
Equipment
I will be using a Canon 650D EOS camera with a standard lens.
Details of editing
When editing my images, I will be removing any spots by using the spot healing tool and the clone tool. I will also be using the clone stamp to remove shadows, which lighting will cause.
