LO1- Prelim task for a college magazine

First I upload the image I had taken of Jake onto Photoshop. It was placed on a A4 new document.

I then cropped the image, by using the cropping tool.

After that I stretched the image out, so the model covered more of the page.

I removed the background by using the magnetic lasso tool. I selected Jake and then inverted the selection, so that I could delete the background.

By using the paint bucket tool I was able to make the background white to give the effect of a studio background.

The font tool enable me to create my masthead.

I could change the font style to make the masthead more appealing to the target audience.

I made sure my font style was San serif, as it is more engaging for the audience.

By double tapping on the font layer, I was able to create a drop shadow on my masthead, so it would stand out more.

Using the shape tool I created this box, which was to go underneath the text Exclusive, to make it standout to the viewer.
